Axie Infinity, the popular blockchain-based game developed by Sky Mavis, introduces Axie Experience Points (AXP) as a unifying mechanism to consolidate the progression of Axies. AXP, initially accessible through Origins, paves the way for Axie Core, a single progression system that connects various Axie experiences. The plan is to expand AXP availability to other Axie games, including Homeland and DOLL, enabling players to progress and invest in their digital companions across different titles.
With the introduction of AXP, players can now invest time, effort, and skill into improving their Axies through Axie Progression. Players can enhance their Axies' strength, aesthetics, rarity, and personalization by earning AXP primarily through playing Origins. Each Axie on the winning team of a ranked battle will earn 150 AXP, with a daily limit of 4500 AXP per Axie. To ascend an Axie, it needs to accumulate specific amounts of AXP, reaching milestones such as the First Ascension (1 to 10), Second Ascension (10 to 20), and Third Ascension (20 to 30).
To celebrate the launch of AXP, Axie Infinity has introduced a challenge where the first ten players to reach Level 30 with their Axies will receive unique Japanese Axies. The first hundred players to reach Level 30 will earn special avatars or borders, along with Moonshards. Furthermore, any player who achieves Level 30 by August 31st will be eligible for Moonshards, with a snapshot planned to record each player's progress.
Looking ahead, AXP will benefit players and serve as a powerful tool for game creators and builders. It allows them to connect with the Axie Core ecosystem, attract players to their games, incentivize engagement, and align in-game actions with their designs. In the future, guidelines and requirements for builders to integrate into Axie progression and earn AXP will be developed, further strengthening the integration between builders and the Axie Core system.
