Axie Infinity developer Sky Mavis has officially announced the integration of Ronin Waypoint to App.Axie.
Ronin Waypoint is a universal account and wallet system for the Ronin network that allows gamers to easily jump into this web3 gaming ecosystem without needing to worry about seed phrases and extensions. Not only does it make it simple for anyone to login, but it also lets users easily manage NFTs and even make in-game transactions without needing to pay for gas fees thanks to gas-sponsored transactions for eligible blockchain games. These supported games also don’t require confirming transactions through the Ronin Wallet when using sponsored transactions, allowing players to enjoy a seamless blockchain gaming experience that puts the web3 tech in the background in order for enjoyable gameplay to take the spotlight instead.
With this new integration, Ronin Waypoint users can now hop onto App.Axie and use many of its features while enjoying new benefits.
The benefits brought through this integration include the ability to use your Ronin Waypoint account on App.axie and switch between your seed-phrase and keyless wallets without having to use the Account Service website. With this launch, the team is also sponsoring up to 10k transactions per day and 70k transactions a week on App.Axie, but only for transactions made using Waypoint. So, if there are gas-free transactions available for the day and you’d like to do some on-chain activity on Axie’s official dApp, then be sure to use your Waypoint account while doing so take advantage of those free transactions!
Next to these additions that deliver a more accessible experience, the team has also introduced a couple of other improvements as well, such as a new UI card. This new UI card makes it easy to track all your axies’ statuses. Everything can now be found in one UI card, including Permission Status for Delegation, Delegation Status, Forging Status, Evolution Status, and the highest offer available. It’s now easier to check how many $RON tokens you have as well, as the inventory dashboard now actually shows your $RON balance.
Overall, with this new integration, players can now easily use a variety of features that have been added to the dApp over the past year, including the Daily and Premier Bounty Boards, the Governance Portal, and more.
Here’s how you can use it.
To get started, simply head on over to the App.Axie website, click on the login button in the top right corner, and then choose the “Login with Ronin Waypoint” option, after which you will have to confirm an authorization prompt in order to successfully gain access. If you don’t have an account, you should be able to set up your Waypoint profile straight away using your email address or a social sign in option such as Google, Apple, or Facebook.
For those already logged into App.Axie with their Ronin Wallet, simply click on your profile in the top right corner where you will find a button that lets you switch to a Keyless Wallet. You can switch back whenever you want to, and the website will only show you assets located on the wallet you switch to, so if you have assets on your Ronin wallet, you won’t be able to see them while you’re using the keyless wallet, and vice versa.
At the time of writing, the official announcement post states that Ronin Waypoint might not be fully optimized for using these features: bulk buying, bulk delegation, forging, and Garuda Pouch opening. The team advises lowering the bulk action amount to less than 10 if you end up having any issues.
Make sure to add funds to the keyless wallet so you can make transactions on App.Axie using the Waypoint account, potentially without paying any gas fees. You should probably have some $RON ready on that wallet as well in case there are no free gas vouchers available.
