Axie Classic is rolling out a major update that's set to bring all players together and make the game even more engaging. Here's what's in store:

Guilds Arrive in Axie Classic 

For the first time in its 6-year history, Axie Classic will introduce Guilds, creating virtual groups within the game. This feature is aimed at fostering a sense of community, where players can support each other, exchange strategies, and celebrate achievements together. A key aspect to look forward to is the Guild Chat, which will be launched later to enhance communication among guild members.

Guild Features: Vault and Treasury 

The update also introduces the Guild Axie Vault, allowing members to share Axies and collaborate on strategies to ascend the Guild Leaderboard. What's more, a Guild Treasury will pay out 70% of season rewards among members based on their contributions, with the remaining 30% managed by Guild leadership. Two-Phase Rollout 

The Guild Update will take place in two stages, starting March 7th, when players can form and join guilds. It will conclude at the end of March with the debut of Season 1 of the Guild Leaderboard and AXS prizes. Also, the Grand Tournament registration will open, setting the stage for competitive play.

Art and Accessibility 

This update is a nod to nostalgia with a toggle feature allowing players to view their Axies in Classic art. Initially aimed at Web3 and Ronin gamers, the plan includes making the game more accessible through app stores and onboarding Web2 players via simpler game modes.

Balancing and Progression 

Axie Classic focuses on balancing for a stable, bug-free experience, with horizontal progression through new features like Guild systems and 2v2 modes. The game will also introduce vertical progression via part upgrades and consumables, without disrupting the battle outcomes. 

Tokenomics and Rewards 

A shift in the economy sees SLP moving towards increased burning, with 8.5 million SLP already deposited and 6.2 million burnt in Premium Coliseum. AXS will reward top performers, providing a robust reward system for both players and guilds.
