The Avalanche Battle Pass will be back on November 24 with its biggest update yet. This season lands just in time for the winter break and brings a long list of changes, including the addition of hit web2 titles like Battlefield 6, PUBG, and Marvel Rivals. The prize pool once again crosses $25,000, and while there's no official end date yet, the last two seasons each ran for about a month, so you'll likely have most of the holidays to play through it.

Avalanche Battle Pass Season 3: Web2 Titles Enter the Lineup

For the first time, Avalanche Battle Pass missions will feature hit mainstream games along with its web3 offerings. This means you'll now see tasks across games like Stardew Valley, Overwatch 2, Dead by Daylight, Apex Legends, Arc Raiders, Warframe, Naraka Bladepoint, and Delta Force.

That's on top of newer entries like Pixelmon, Gladiator Mayhem, Palworld, and Brawlhalla. Whether you're into shooters, co-op farming, or RPGs, the new lineup brings more variety to how you earn rewards.

Mission Preferences Let You Control What You Play

Season 3 adds a new Mission Preference Setting that lets you choose the types of missions you want to see. You can filter by game or pick between gameplay and social tasks. This system means you won't get missions for games you don't play or types of content you're not interested in.

You'll find the option in your account settings on Playfull. Once you set it up, your daily missions will better match what you actually want to play.

A Closer Look at Returning Titles

While Season 3 adds a lot of new games, the familiar ones are still here. Core web3 games from past seasons are back, including Off The Grid, Rumble Arcade, DeFi Kingdoms, Spellborne, Draftables, Fundora, Don't Die, Paradise Tycoon, BloodLoop, and Castle of Blackwater. These titles continue to offer both solo and social missions through the battle pass.

You can jump back in where you left off or explore them for the first time. Either way, you'll keep earning XP and Playpoints as you go.

In-Progress Missions Tab Tracks Long-Term Goals

Another update this season is the In-Progress Missions Tab. This lets you keep track of challenges that take more than a day to complete. Missions like "Reach Level 15" or "Win 10 Matches" won't disappear from view after you log out.

The tab shows your current progress at a glance, helping you manage long-term goals across different games. You'll be able to switch between active, completed, and new missions without losing track of your goals.

Refer Friends and Earn More

Season 3 also introduces a full referral system. You'll now be able to share a referral code with your friends. If they sign up and start completing missions, you'll both get bonus rewards.

Your referral link is available in your Playfull profile, where you can also track who joined and how many rewards you've earned. It's an easy way to team up while making some progress together.

Playpoints Are Still the Core

Playpoints continue to be the currency you earn by completing missions and leveling up your pass. These points can be spent in the Battle Pass Shop for in-game items, cosmetics, and NFTs.

Because Playpoints work across the whole Playfull ecosystem, any points you earn here also carry over to other missions and events tied to your account. You'll need them if you're aiming for high-tier collectibles or want to boost your pass rewards.

Snowflakes Are Back With Over $25K in Prizes

With that, Snowflakes are making a return in Season 3. Each one you earn acts as a raffle entry toward the season's $25,000+ prize pool. While the rewards for this season haven't been confirmed yet, last season's prizes included AVAX tokens, rare NFTs, and physical items like Pokémon cards from BOXED TCG.

You'll get to earn Snowflakes by completing specific missions and leveling up your pass, just like in previous seasons. The more you collect, the better your chances in the final prize draw.

Powered by Playfull

The Avalanche Battle Pass continues to run through Playfull, the same platform behind Seasons 1 and 2. This system connects all your rewards, missions, and progress under one account. You'll log in with your wallet, and you can link your Steam, Epic Games, and Discord accounts for mission verification.

Season 3 keeps the same structure, but with more ways to tailor your experience and stay on top of your rewards.

Season 2 Brought the Framework

Back in August, Season 2 introduced some big upgrades. It removed the need to mint anything on Magic Eden and instead let you start just by signing up on Playfull. The Basic Pass was free, and a Premium Pass could be picked up for 0.5 AVAX or $10.

Season 2 also launched the Salvage System, which gave you the option to skip any reward you didn't want and trade it in for extra Playpoints. That meant more control over how you progressed through the pass. You could go after the gear you actually needed without bloating your inventory.

Rewards during that season included NFTs, AVAX tokens, Battle Points (BP), and a wide range of mission types. It also splits the missions into social and gameplay tracks, making it easier to level up in the way that fits you best.

Season 1 Was the Start

The first ever Avalanche Battle Pass went live in June. That version required you to mint a free NFT on Magic Eden to begin. It was a more basic structure but set the tone for future seasons.

You could earn Playpoints and Snowflakes by completing gameplay and social missions tied to early Avalanche titles like Spellborne and Off The Grid. Season 1 lacked features like the Salvage System or Mission Preferences, but it laid the foundation for how missions, rewards, and progression would work going forward.
