Aradena: Battlegrounds, a free-to-play tactical TCG where players battle it out on a hex-based 3D battlefield, now has two new factions live together with a new tournament, Beta Showdown 4, for players to compete in until October 2nd.
Beta Showdown 4 is a 3-day tournament that started on Friday, September 29th, at 12 PM UTC and will end on Monday, October 2nd, at 12 PM UTC. During this weekend, players will compete for the top 8 spots on the leaderboard in an effort to earn various rewards such as Loot Chests, Genesis Card Packs, and more.
There are also additional milestone prizes that anyone can get. These milestones include playing 1 game, getting 10 points, 20 points, 50, and over 100 points. By having at least 20+ points, you’ll be awarded with 1 Silver Card Pack, whereas those who achieve 100+ points will get 2 Genesis Card Packs, 1 Loot Chest, and early testing access. It’s important to note however that Genesis Packs are limited in supply, and will be claimable on a first come, first serve basis, with the team mentioning in the announcement that eligibility is based on the number of points at the end of the tournament, and not when the milestone was actually reached. You get 3 points for winning, 1 for a loss or concession, or 0 for disconnecting or surrendering before Turn 4.
By playing at least 5 games, you’ll be placed into a raffle where you’ll have the chance to earn one of the following:
The 2 new Factions introduced in Beta Showdown 4 are called the Town’s Guard and Merchant Navy. Together they bring 24 new cards to the game, with the latest patch, beta v0.2, overhauling the armor system and introducing new mechanics that enable water-based tactics. Improvements to the UI and deckbuilder have also been made, alongside balancing changes.
