Animoca Brands Japan and Cool Cats Collaborate in the World of Web3 in Japan

In a partnership between Animoca Brands Japan and San FranTokyo, both companies have formed a collaboration with Cool Cats, a globally recognized NFT collection. This alliance aims to bring cultures and ideas together with the goal of expanding their reach to global and local audiences. It represents a significant moment for intellectual property development in Japan within the realms of Web3 technology and blockchain.

Venturing into the Anime Market

This partnership is characterized by Animoca Brands Japan acquiring equity in Cool Cats Group LLC. Additionally, San FranTokyo has demonstrated its commitment by purchasing NFTs from all three collections within the Cool Cats series on the market. The shared vision among Animoca Brands Japan, San FranTokyo, and Cool Cats sets the stage for the integration of ideas across cultures.

The Collaboration's Goals

The collaboration aims to develop Web3 products and experiences with a Cool Cats theme. This partnership allows Cool Cats to extend its reach by leveraging Animoca Brands Japan's understanding of the market and San FranTokyo's extensive network in the anime and manga industry. Together they will explore initiatives ranging from merchandise to creating Vtuber content featuring Cool Cats.

San FranTokyo hints at possibilities, such as incorporating the Cool Cats IP narrative into the city of San FranTokyo through interactive figurine drops and aligning marketing efforts with iconic Japanese IPs.

Cool Cats Anime and Manga Integration

Plans are already underway to establish partnerships with anime and manga studios in order to tailor Cool Cats' presence to the Japanese consumer base. A native manga artist will produce a one-shot manga that combines Cool Cats with the heritage of Japanese manga.

As part of this agreement, San FranTokyo has acquired 37 Cool Cats, 15 Shadow Wolves, and 15 SideKXs for their treasury. This ensures that the storytelling around Cool Cats' main characters – Blue, Chugs, Ardi, and Jo – remains faithful to its origins while opening doors for expansion and integration across channels in Japan.
