With sponsorship by the Galactic Hubs program, Alien Worlds has announced the Galaxy Championship Tournament for community game Battlefleet Armageddon, a free-to-play mobile auto battler which launched on mobile devices last month.
From March 14th to March 28th, anyone can jump in the Web3 title and compete for a prize pool of 250k $TLM on Android and iOS devices by downloading the game on the Play Store or App Store.
According to the announcement, the tournament format sees players battle their way through a series of matches using their fleet of spacecraft over this 2-week period, attempting to get the highest score on the leaderboard in order to be eligible for rewards by ranking in the top 50. Each match requires winning 10 battles in order to claim an official victory, with gameplay getting increasingly difficult as you successfully progress and unlock new ships and upgrades. Rankings will be calculated based on the amount of wins, with the final standings to be determined on March 28th, 11:59 PM UTC. If two players end up having the same number of wins, then the player who has the better win/lose ratio gets the advantage.
The winner of the tournament will be rewarded with 70k $TLM, while 2nd place gets 40k $TLM and 3rd place is awarded with 30k $TLM tokens. Players who rank from 4th to 10th will get 10k $TLM each, while the remaining eligible spots from 11th to 50th are set to receive 1000 $TLM tokens each.
