In an effort to foster stability and collaboration within the community, Alien Worlds developer Dacoco has introduced the Worker Proposal System, which they plan to release at some point in the future.
What Is the Worker Proposal System?
The Worker Proposal System is designed to encourage the community to more confidently contribute to the Alien Worlds universe.
As it currently stands, creatives working with Syndicates face uncertainty each week due to the nature of Syndicate governance. With the way governance works, players the ability to turnover the current leader of a Syndicate each week, which the announcement states is “necessary for safe political representation of the community.” If the Custodians of a Syndicate choose to make the turnover, there is a chance that a project that was supported last week might not receive support under the new leadership. This means that there is a chance that builders working on long-term projects suddenly lose support, making contributions to the sci-fi metaverse uncertain and unstable.
To combat the shifting changes of Syndicates and ensure that community creators can feel safe when working on long-term projects, the team is creating a Worker Proposal System so that such works can be continuously supported, safeguarding “the continuity of those projects and agreements.” This system thus guarantees builders that “the longer term projects being built will endure” by providing a platform encouraging stability, growth and innovation.
Features
The developers recognize that in such a decentralized ecosystem, disputes are likely to pop up. To handle this, the system will consist of a key feature: a dispute resolution mechanism. The way this mechanism will work is that there will be an arbiter mutually agreed between both sides, as well as an escrow account for every project, ensuring that disputes “about worker output” can be resolved in a fair manner. This means that DAOs will no longer consist of standard transactions such as transfers and consensus, as this new system will allow communities to create deeper relationships and long-lasting collaborations thanks to the ability to set up clear terms and mutual responsibilities.
“At the heart of the Worker Proposal system is a profound belief in the power of our community. This initiative empowers each one of you—whether you're a developer, content creator, or explorer—to contribute more confidently and significantly to Alien Worlds. With robust agreements and clear dispute resolution, we invite you to engage more deeply, shape our metaverse, and be part of our collective evolution.”
More information on the release of this community-friendly, collaborative system will be revealed in the future.
