Gaming multiverse and NFT protocol Aavegotchi is back with a new dev update, this time recapping progress made in March and April while revealing some of the plans in store for their wide variety of blockchain games, including DAO-led titles.
One of the team’s biggest news was the announcement that their upcoming Layer 3 rollup, Gotchichain, will be using Base as its settlement layer. In this update post, the developers reveal that they are also considering using the Optimism stack after consulting with the Base team, “thanks to its promise of enhancing interoperability among L2s.” The $GHST token is now live for trading on Base, with holders having the option to bridge their tokens over to Base using various bridges such as Superbridge.
The last update to the PC 3D battle royale Spirit Force Arena is said to bring the title ever so closer to the full experience. In case you missed it, the team has recapped some of the changes they’ve made as they continue further tweaking the game. They include adding a new forcefield mechanism to keep players on their toes as they gravitate to the rooftop, grabbing Protolicks with Alchemica for a tactical advantage, bringing back “some beloved sniper nests” in the Arena map while improving the whole game interface, from the main menu to the game over screen, to offer more polished visuals. The game has also been fully certified for Mac and Windows, making downloads faster than before, while the Linux version is back and playable once again.
For the future, the team is currently hard at work on developing a new 1v1 Dueling mode while implementing Aavegotchi Wearables, expanding the Badge system with a new category, introducing the final 4 champions to the roster, and possibly more significant updates.
This is just some of the many goodies included in the latest dev update, with the full post available on their official blog as well as in the article embedded in the below tweet.
