Our team tested every active crypto RPG with real player activity, real content shipping, and major drops landing this month, and only five made the cut. From a pixel art roguelite to a 21 year old MMORPG making its full Web3 debut, these are the play to earn and blockchain RPGs leading the genre in May 2026.
5. The Beacon
The Beacon is a free to play roguelite action RPG on Arbitrum built by Skillcap Studio inside the TreasureDAO ecosystem and playable directly in your browser, with PC releases planned for Steam and Epic. The core loop drops players into procedurally generated dungeons either solo or in co op, with pixel art top down combat against monsters, traps, and bosses. Every run reshuffles layouts and dying restarts the dungeon from scratch, although a feature called the Coward’s Exit lets players leave early without losing everything. Four new dungeons rotate every Monday, with free players able to access two while NFT character holders can enter all four. The economy runs on Lux Shards that are spent at the Bazaar across eight week seasonal cycles, with three NFT collections shaping access and the governance token $BCN sitting at the center of the system. Season 1, titled Goblin’s Gambit, launches May 25 with a new underground biome called The Cellar.

4. Immortal Rising 2
Immortal Rising 2 is a dark fantasy idle action RPG on Immutable zkEVM developed by Bad Beans and published by Planetarium Labs, available on Web, Android, and iOS. Players take on the role of resurrected warriors known as Immortals who battle the Seven Demons across a fallen world. The gameplay blends real time 3D combat with idle progression so characters continue to advance while players are away. Combat builds on a skill framework with more than ten million possible combinations, pairing a main weapon such as Sword, Bow, Shield, or Spear with magic types like Fire, Frost, and Thunder to create hybrid Mix Skills. Guild Wars take place weekly as PvE territorial competition, while the PvP Arena supports both one versus one and team battles. The economy uses three currencies with $IMT as the governance token and Arcane Stones serving as the primary progression asset. On May 10, the Greater Rift Abyss extended to Stage 60 alongside a new Echoglass Amplification Quest.

2. Lumiterra
Lumiterra is an open world survival crafting MMORPG on Ronin from Ticker Logic Studio, with an AI agent layer running on Monad, playable on Windows, macOS, Android, and browser. Progression is shaped by three specialization paths that focus on Combat, Farming, and Gathering, each developed through a talent system that encourages cooperative team play. Combat is real time and driven by weapon choice, which expands into open world PvP and a thirty minute PvEP dungeon mode introduced during Mainnet Beta. The farming system gives every player a personal homestead with more than one hundred crop varieties, along with tameable wild creatures that function as farming assistants or combat companions. Captured monsters can also be converted into tradable eggs. The economy runs on a multi token structure that includes LUA on Ronin, the dollar pegged LUAUSD stablecoin, a planned LUAG governance token, and LVMON on Monad. Onchain AI agent NFTs continue farming, gathering, and combat routines while players are offline.
