The monster-taming MMORPG Zeeverse has officially kicked off its Play to Airdrop (P2A) campaign on the Ronin network. This comes after the game's original home, Treasure Chain, shut down at the end of May. The new campaign offers players a chance to earn a share of 150 million $TREE tokens by simply playing, exploring, and sharing the world of Zeeverse.
In May, Zeeverse confirmed its transition to Ronin, Sky Mavis's blockchain built for high-performance games. The move follows Treasure DAO's decision to end its game publishing operations and shut down its zkSync-powered Treasure Chain. Zeeverse was one of several titles affected, prompting the search for a more stable platform.
Before the P2A, Zeeverse debuted "The Oath," a collaboration mint in partnership with Ronin that marked its official arrival on the network. The game's Ronin debut also included updates to gameplay and token systems, paving the way for a more robust onchain experience.
Zeeverse is a free to play MMORPG where players take on the role of Shamans. The game combines creature collection, tactical turn-based battles, and skill-based resource gathering. Players explore a vibrant world filled with mystical creatures called Zees, each with unique abilities that evolve over time.
With both PvE and PvP modes, Zeeverse offers dungeons, heist raids, and a rich skill system including mining, cooking, crafting, and soulcrafting. Energy limits add a strategic layer to each session, while two tokens, $VEE and $TREE, power the entire economy.
The first phase of the P2A campaign, called "ZEE Beginning," is already live. This multi-phase event rewards players for completing in-game quests, engaging in community activities, and climbing the Ambassador leaderboard.
To get started, visit zeeverse.com, go to the P2A page, and connect your Ronin wallet. You'll then be able to complete tasks for points, which determine your share of the $TREE airdrop pool.
The campaign is designed as a skill-tree system. Some tasks unlock more as you progress, and new content will roll out continuously.
According to the team, these P2A tasks fall into four main categories:
Players can earn bonus points through NFT ownership. Holding a Genesis Mask or Zeeverse Land NFTs boosts your total points as follows:
Transferred NFTs will lose their bonus until returned to the wallet. Players also gain multipliers based on their Ambassador level, further boosting their cut of the airdrop pool.
This phase is just the beginning. Phase 2 will start on June 18, and future stages promise new mechanics, partnership reveals, and evolving lore.
Zeeverse runs on two core tokens: $VEE and $TREE. $VEE is the in-game token, used for upgrading Zees, buying items, crafting, and staking. You can earn $VEE by converting in-game coins earned through dungeon runs, quests, and marketplace sales.
On the other hand, $TREE is the governance and ecosystem token. It grants voting rights, future airdrop access, and cross-game benefits. Holding $TREE lets you shape Zeeverse's direction while gaining access to rewards and exclusive upgrades.
Zeeverse's P2A campaign marks another milestone in Ronin's growing lineup of web3 games. And it's not the only new arrival. VOYA Games, the studio behind the fully onchain idle game Craft World, is also joining the Ronin ecosystem this week.
