Game developer ACT Games has officially announced Season 1 of the ZWA Open Championship for their blockchain card game titled Zoids Wild Arena.

The announcement took place last week in the form of a tweet from the game’s official Twitter profile, revealing that the first season runs on the Polygon network and starts on April 5th, featuring a total prize pool of $30k up for grabs. Yesterday though, the team also revealed the rewards list on the game’s official website, showing that the prize pool is allocated for the top 200 players, with the winner getting $5000 while 2nd spot has $3000 and 3rd place walks away with $1000. Finishing off the season by being ranked in the top 1000 is rewarded with a single pack. 

This upcoming season will be playable on PC and Android device, and one week after the season begins, the game’s official marketplace will go live, allowing players to mint their cards into NFTs they will be able to trade with others on the marketplace that is scheduled to launch on April 12th at 04:00 UTC. According to the notice on the official website, cards and Metal will not be removed at the end of the season, while BP will be adjusted at the end of every season before the next one begins.

Alongside announcing the competitive season, the developers are also bringing back the early bird sale that initially took place during the 2nd Frontier Test, extending the opportunity to purchase cards. According to the countdown on the official website, the sale will commence once the new season kicks off.
