The developers of Wizardia, a play-to-earn turn-based strategy RPG on the BNB Chain, have officially launched Wizardia Tournaments, the alpha version of the blockchain title.
Featuring a prize pool of 100k $WZRD tokens alongside exclusive NFTs, players need to have at least 3 Wizard NFTs, as well as a Tournament entry ticket, in order to play. This first Tournament will last for 4 weeks, ending on September 9th at 23:59 UTC. An entry ticket costs $10, and allows players to play 20 battles against the AI. There is no PvP for this tournament, only PvE. The difficulty of the AI depends on the team of Wizard NFTs the player is using.
The top 20 players with the highest scores will get a share of the prize pool, while the top 10 will also receive NFTs, with 1st place getting an Exclusive Epic Petro Wizard NFT, 2nd-5th places receiving 1 Epic Wizard NFT and those from 6th-10th will earn 1 Rare Wizard NFT. The score is determined based on the amount of health left for each Wizard NFT at the end of a battle. If a player isn’t happy with their total score after they’ve played all 20 battles, they can purchase another ticket and try again, but doing so means resetting the originally achieved score.
The full game of the turn-based RPG is set to launch in Q4 this year, the same quarter in which the mobile version is also slated to release.
