Walken has announced its new CAThlete is coming soon. In a tweet, the account said:

“BLEEDING is coming! Players will be able to breed a new CAThlete that will inherit a unique gene set from its parents. This will allow players to keep stronger to win competitions, or sell offspring for a profit.”

Walken is a walk-to-earn game that focuses on the health status of players. The application integrates sports, health, and crypto. When players exercise and win in-app games, they are rewarded with a Solana-powered project token, the WLKN token. This token is a governance and staking token used to promote the user’s quest within the app and serve as an exchange income to use in DeFi applications. Users can only earn tokens when they participate in battles. With the WLKN token, players can vote on the future of projects and stake it in exchange for rewards.

Apart from tokens, players can mint NFTs and sell them in the marketplace. These NFTs are called CAThlete and can be raised, upgraded, battled, and traded in the ecosystem. To upgrade these characters, you need gems such as the WLKN tokens or Airdrop rewards. You can also raise gems when you use in-game wearable devices to walk! As CAThletes improve, they get stronger, and their potential earning increases as players engage in fights.

Walken boasts over 50 million app store downloads with $10 million annual revenue. Inspired by Tamagotchi, the game has a variety of game modes and an exciting user experience. The Walken token, WLKN, exists in-app and on exchanges. The game has a mission to create a crypto and blockchain experience for gamers, and its upcoming feature, BREEDING, is a step toward achieving that goal.
