The team working on Walken has revealed an updated roadmap for their free-to-play move-to-earn fitness app.
The new roadmap was unveiled last week and shows what the developers plan on doing for the remainder of this year and for the January of 2023.
So far, the team has successfully gone through closed beta, with the game currently available in open beta at the time of writing. They've also launched their own NFT marketplace for the mobile title, listed the core token $WLKN on various exchanges such as Huobi Global and added in features such as breeding and boosting to the Solana-based blockchain game.
Within 2 and a half months of open beta testing, an astounding 1 million players have played the game.
As the app is only available in English at the time of writing, one of the things the developers are working on include adding support for more languages. This month, the team also plans to list $WLKN on “new top exchanges,” release the staking feature for $WLKN directly in app, as well as introduce a ranking system and a Wheel of Fortune. With the upcoming ranking system, players will soon be able to have their own rank, allowing them to in turn “receive special bonuses based on their Rank!” As for the Wheel of Fortune, players will have an opportunity to win various prizes, with those ranked higher having a chance at getting better prizes than those ranked lower.
In December, the team plans to add new game modes, while January next year is set to include social features such as the option to add friends and chat with players. For more info on what’s scheduled for release in the coming months, check out the updated roadmap down below:

Walken is available in public beta on Android and iOS devices via the Google Play Store and App Store respectively, and is backed by strategic investors and partners such as Shima Capital, Yield Guild Games, YGG SEA, Huobi Ventures, Snackclub and more.
