Upland, a property-trading metaverse game, is calling all creative minds to take part in its Genesis 2024 Hackathon. This exciting event offers builders a platform to develop new services, games, or experiences using Upland's developer tools.
With submissions now open to all, builders are challenged to design a compelling business plan with clear goals and strategies. The submission should be detailed and polished, enhancing the team's chances of advancing to the final.
What's at Stake in Upland's Genesis Hackathon?
The event is structured into three phases, with cash prizes and grants up for grabs. In the first and second phases, the top two teams will receive cash prizes, with the first-placed team taking home $2,500 and $15,000, respectively. The second-placed teams will receive $1,000 and $7,500, accordingly.

Judging Criteria and Presentation
Entries will be judged based on the team's composition, the innovation and viability of the proposed solution, and the strategic use of Upland's API. All submissions must be in PDF format, and finalists are required to prepare a separate Canva presentation.
A Call for Innovation
The Genesis Hackathon underscores the game's commitment to fostering innovation and growth within its community. By giving builders and creators a platform to showcase their ideas, Upland enriches its ecosystem and empowers builders to contribute meaningful enhancements.
The event also highlights the game's dedication to the creative community by offering the Sparklet Grant, a chance for developers to secure funding for their projects.
Submissions for the hackathon will close on May 10th at 9:00 AM PT, with finalists being announced on May 13th, 2024. A panel of judges will evaluate each presentation, and the winning team will be announced at the Upland Awards Show on June 7th.
