Max Level Studios has provided a recap of important milestones in 2023 for Uldor, a blockchain MMORPG, while sharing some of the features in store for 2024.

A Look Back

This year was marked by the release of the first alpha version of Uldor Dread Arena, through which the team managed to gain valuable feedback and significant community growth, leading to partnerships and long-term collaborations with content creators. The team also took the community’s feedback into account in regards to the max supply of Guardians and Furies NFT collections, lowering both to 1500. A teaser for Dread Arena Remastered was published at the end of November, while significant progress in the development of the PvP Arena mode was made throughout the year, improving combat and animations, setting up chat functionality, and more.

2024 Plans

For the first few weeks of 2024, the developers are looking into releasing the Dread Arena Remastered update and their first commercial game mode: PvP Arena.

The PvP Arena is specifically planned to go live in March and is said to feature ranked and unranked matches coupled with a content-packed progression system consisting of seasonal content rewards that include exclusive weapons and armor.

Once this game mode launches, the team will look towards releasing the Faction Battles game mode in Q3. For this mode, players will get to pick a faciton and take part in huge PvP battles revolving arround territorial conquest. Factions will be able to set up defenses when protecting their territory, and having control over a territory can yield various benefits that include access special shops, dungeons, and quests through which rare loot can be gained.

When these two modes are finished, then it’s all eyes on completing development of the full open world in Unreal Engine 5, expanding the persistent world of Faction Battles with PvE content. There will be lots of cities and towns, quests, dungeons, as well as world bosses, all set to be backed by “rich story where players can immerse themselves in the world and its characters.”
