The developers of metaverse gaming ecosystem SIDUS Heroes have annoucned the start of the New Year’s Book Hunt for their browser-based arena battler, Nidum. 

What Is the New Year’s Book Hunt?

The New Year’s Book Hunt is a special event for Nidum that runs from December 28th to January 18th, 00:00 UTC and tasks players with gathering 25 parts to create the Sidus Book. This book, when equipped, provides bonus stats to heroes, including +10% Resistance (all types), +10% Critical Chance, and increased combat and economic experience, this last aspect being something that the announcement states is coming soon. 

To get a hold of these 25 parts, which are only available during this event, you will have to do a variety of activities. After the event, the only way that players will be able to get these parts is from other players who sell them on the Marketplace. 

In order to get the first 10 parts of the Sidus Book, you will have to dabble in arena battles, through which you will have a 1% chance to get a random part. Another way of getting these same parts is through the Deposit Ratings, with the reward changing each day. 

 

By getting into the top 10 Daily Ratings, you will have a chance of attaining parts 11 to 16, with the parts said to be alternating every day. 

 

As for parts 17 – 21, opening some New Year Boxes will do the trick. This new item is now available in the Store, with its contents having the following drop probabilities: 

 

For the last parts, 22 – 25, you have a chance of getting them through Staking 5.0. Whenever you make a deposit, you are awarded with a Staking box which comes with a 25% drop chance of getting one random part. 

Once you manage to get all of the parts, you can head on over to your Inventory and click on any part in order to get the option to assemble them all into the Sidus Book. 

Exclusive Rewards & Participation Details 

Anyone can participate in this event, but you’ll have to be fast if you want to get some exclusive rewards, as only the first 10 players to craft the Sidus Book will be rewarded with an exclusive SIDUS HEROES T-shirt a hard copy of ‘Sidus: First of His Kind’ (Book 1).
