Delabs Games, a Web3 gaming studio founded by former Nexon CEO Joonmo Kwon, has officially kicked off pre-registration for the open beta version of Rumble Racing Star, a blockchain kart racing game.
Pre-Registration Details
Pre-registration kicked off last week and gives everyone an opportunity to sign up at the game’s official website in order to participate in the open beta test and receive an in-game reward in the process. To successfully complete this process, all it takes is to simply input your e-mail address over on the website, and that will allow you to access the upcoming test phase once it begins.
When the open beta starts, you’ll be given in-game pre-registration rewards that include 1 Viking Rick, who is one of the available in-game drivers, alongside in-game currencies, that is, 2000 Silver and 20 Gold. Every driver has their own unique skill and appearance. Silver is the earnable currency that is used for taking part in tournaments and races, as well as for buying items, refueling lawnmowers and decorating. Lawnmowers are what players use to drive in this Web3 title, some which will eventually be mintable as NFTs on the Polygon network. Gold is a rare currency that can be used for buying Silver, rare decorative items, as well as lawnmowers that cannot be purchased with Silver. According to the documentation, it can be acquired as “a special achievement or event reward.”
When Will Open Beta Start?
While no official date seems to have been announced, based on the various social media pre-registration events that the community can participate in for more rewards, it seems that the open beta test could potentially start on Wednesday, October 25th, or shortly after. By pre-registering before testing begins, you’ll be able to try out the casual racing game and even keep the progress you make, as the team has stated that all player data and play history will not be wiped during this testing period.
For this phase, the game will be available on PC, with a mobile version currently in development.
