AI-powered gaming ecosystem Dante Games has announced the start of the Hellmaster x Immutable Leaderboard Season, giving web3 gamers a new opportunity to play to earn token rewards, in this case a share of 2 million $DANTE tokens, over the course of 8 weeks.

What Is the Hellmaster x Immutable Leaderboard Season?

The Hellmaster x Immutable Leaderboard Season is the first ever Hellmaster Leaderboard Season through which the top 500 players with the highest number of points can secure $DANTE token rewards. This does not seem to be related to the recently launched $100k TGE Tournament Series, which started off with Tournament I: Open Arena, a public event that ended earlier this August. The series itself is set to have its 2nd competition begin this weekend, albeit for NFT holders only, which is not the case for this new seasonal leaderboard.

From August 19, 11 PM UTC, to October 14, 12 AM UTC, players can complete various daily and one-off quests to secure as many leaderboard points as possible until the end of the event. If you end up earning enough points to rank in the top 500, you will get to earn a share of the 2 million $DANTE token prize pool (worth around $49100 as of August 20), which is distributed in the following manner:

  • Rank 1: 550,000 $DANTE
  • Ranks 2 - 3: 450,000 $DANTE pool
  • Ranks 4 - 10: 350,000 $DANTE pool
  • Ranks 11 - 25: 300,000 $DANTE pool
  • Ranks 26 - 100: 200,000 $DANTE pool
  • Ranks 101 - 250: 100,000 $DANTE pool
  • Ranks 251 - 500: 50,000 $DANTE pool

At the end of the season, the highest-ranked players will begin receiving their rewards through a vesting schedule. According to the Medium announcement, 10% of rewards will unlock following the end of the leaderboard event. There will then be a 1-month cliff, after which tokens are distributed over the course of 4 months of linear vesting. If players are tied on points at the end of the event, then the player that reached the threshold earlier will win the higher position, but if both players are still tied, then the player that has the higher total playtime will secure their spot.

Anyone can participate in this leaderboard-based season by engaging in activities across the Dante Games ecosystem to complete quests on Immutable Play while playing their flagship title, Hellmaster.

Hellmaster: The Legend of Dante is a free to play TCG that is inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy and features tactical turn-based 1v1 PvP and PvE battles to enjoy while playing to earn NFTs by earning Shards through gameplay in order to redeem card packs. Choose from 15 different heroes across 5 classes, each hero with their own distinct special ability, and start building your deck out of a variety of different cards, with spells and runes limited based on the class of your chosen character. Dive into the PvE Adventure mode for free to earn Shards and more goodies to further strengthen your hero and deck before jumping into the PvP Battle Arena mode, which requires paying an entry fee in souls, a valuable currency that can be bought using the $DANTE token and then earned by winning ranked matches.

For this leaderboard season, both gameplay and social activities contribute to your final rankings. You can complete daily quests and one-off tasks on the season’s Immutable Play page to earn points. Anyone new to Immutable Play can easily sign up via an email address or Google, Apple, or Facebook account. Daily quests reset every 24 hours at midnight UTC and include winning 1 match, winning 5 matches, contributing to Telegram discussions in the official ecosystem channel, holding more than 5000 $DANTE tokens, and engaging on X with posts mentioning “$DANTE TGE”. One-off quests include buying more than 5k $DANTE tokens, buying more than 10k $DANTE tokens, 2 staking quests that require you to stake more than 5k and over 10k tokens, and 3 gameplay-related missions that involve winning matches under certain conditions, such as achieving victory while keeping your hero at max HP.

Next to earning points for climbing the leaderboard, you also get to earn Immutable Gems, which are the platform’s own points system that can be used to redeem Keys of varying rarity in order to enter Weekly Draws featuring a variety of rewards, including more Gems, $IMX tokens, Key Tier-Up for the next draw, and a free entry for next week’s draw.

By completing daily quests for this season, you can earn up to around 3000 Gems throughout the season, with one-off tasks giving a bonus of about 500 Gems. This means that by participating in this campaign and doing all of the available quests, you could secure up to 7 Keys, according to the official Medium post, giving you another avenue to earn potential rewards in as you try to rank your way into the top 500 for this event.
