Planet Sandbox developer The Minders Studios has announced two new feature updates: the Supply Box and Fragment.
The Supply Box represents a new feature that provides various rewards in the form of lootboxes. Everyone has a chance of getting one at the end of a match, even without owning an NFT, which is in line with the studio’s market strategy to “dominate not only web3 but also traditional gamers.”
Supply Boxes come in 3 different rarities: iron, silver and gold. The rarer the supply box, the higher the chance to get better rewards, but you’ll also have to wait before you can open it. Those who don’t want to wait can also choose to bypass the cooldown timer by paying in $PSB. Some of the rewards players can end up getting include $PSB tokens, fragments and boosters. Players get 2 slots for supply boxes for free, while the 3rd and 4th slot can be unlocked by paying in $PSB, while the last slot is reserved for all who end up joining battle passes, which are planned to come out at some point in the future.
Fragments are like “small pieces of NFT” that allow you to use a temporary NFT for a limited time, during which players are able to earn while using the NFT, without the option of trading, upgrading or withdrawing the asset in question, as once a number of matches have been played, the NFT will be gone. These fragments can be gained by completing missions, opening supply boxes and by joining in “the marketing event on social media.” For details on how to use fragments, check out the official article here.
