The developers of Animoca Brands-backed open-world space mech sim Phantom Galaxies have published a February roundup post to provide a recap of the best highlights of the month for those who may have missed them.
Anime Teaser
Among the most significant announcements is the release of a teaser trailer for the upcoming anime series based on the Web3 title. The footage is a sneak peek into the “backstory of the Ranger Corps and the impending threats they face.” Titled “Into the Fire,” Episode 1 is set to air next week on Wednesday, March 13th.
Localization Update
The game has been updated to be more accessible to a wider audience with the launch of a localization update that introduces a couple of new subtitles options for various languages. This means that there are now new subtitles for Simplified Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Spanish and Russian.
Killer Whales
The month also included Blowfish Studios’ co-founder and managing director Benjamin Lee in Killer Whales’ ‘Crypto Gaming’ episode, where Lee represented his blockchain title in front of a panel of judges. Killer Whales is a business reality TV show produced by entertainment platform HELLO Labs and CoinMarketCap.
Lunar New Year Events, Dev Diaries & More
February was also marked with the celebration of the Lunar New Year, with the team hosting a series of Discord events over the course of one week from which participants were able to gain various prizes. Two streams were hosted, while an official Twitter/X for the game’s Chinese-speaking community also went live, as did the Dev Diaries series that will give players a behind-the-scenes look at the game’s development throughout a couple of episodes, starting off with lead technical developer Russell Bartley covering the technological side of things used to help create a quality third-person shooter experience.
