Crypto gaming ecosystem Myria recently showed off some alpha gameplay footage of the upcoming play-and-earn farming game, Moonville Farms.
They’ve also said that the development team. Leapblock Studios, is preparing for public alpha testing, teasing that players will be able to get their hands on the Web3 tycoon in the near future.
The gameplay shows off a Moon Village on which you’ll be able to grow fictional crops such as Starberries. We also get a close look at what a robotic Harvester and Botanist look like, as well as a Star Hut and a quick glance at the Building Menu, which seems to be divided into 6 different categories: Farm, Ranch, Industrial, Trade, Terrain and Seasonal.
Not only are there upgradeable buildings in this sci-fi farming simulator, but there are also cosmetic skin NFTs you can use to adjust the appearance of various structures. The footage seems to show off grassy terrain, but players in the game will be able to choose different types of terrain as well, which does have an effect on the kind of resources players can utilize.
Moonville Farms is a part of the Myria ecosystem, which has its own Ethereum-based Layer 2 scaling solution. The platform claims to use “ZK-Rollup to enable dApps to achieve unlimited scale, low transaction fees without sacrificing on security,” as well as Myria Nodes, with node owners able to earn tokens, limited edition NFTs and more. They recently partnered up with South African cricket star AB de Villiers to create the first NFT mobile cricket game on their gaming platform.
