The introduction of Paper is a big move for MegaWorld as it requires cross-chain resources from Tron and Binance Chain and assembly on Ethereum. Without Paper, Offices won't generate passive income, which is why this new resource is considered vital. This interconnected economy will encourage players to engage in more trade and activity, creating a more vibrant and lively gaming environment.

Apart from the addition of Paper, Offices have also undergone some changes. They will now check every hour for passive income earnings, forcing players to keep their Citizens stationed in Offices to earn. This change is made to put a stop to players switching Citizens around to time daily earnings and then using the Citizens elsewhere.

However, it's not all bad news for Office owners. A new interface will provide more details about each Office's share and earnings. Plus, Citizens stationed in Offices now lose less Stamina per production cycle, indicating MegaWorld's focus on improving user experience.

Building Customization and Alpha Release

Starting on April 20th, plot owners will be able to combine adjacent land plots, creating larger tracts of land for easier trading or for constructing larger, custom buildings. Custom buildings come with an interesting feature known as Units, where each custom plot can have multiple Units defined by the builder. These Units can be minted as separate NFTs and sold or rented to other players for various purposes, including homes, businesses, stores, and craft shops.

Customization abilities in MegaWorld are already extensive, even in this early version, allowing players to create multiple floors and choose from a variety of building types. However, as the complexity of the building increases, so do the costs of resources required for construction.

The Alpha release, expected later this year, will bring additional features to the Citizen avatars in the game. Players will be able to complete quests to earn MEGA tokens, tied to buildings. In fact, buildings will all need these quests completed to produce resources, making the game even more interactive and engaging.

Units from custom plots will be a critical part of the Avatar and Mission portion of the gameplay. Players will need to own a Unit before they can withdraw any MEGA earned from Missions, and they will also serve as respawn points when entering the game.
