Here's all you need to know about Magic Eden's investment

Magic Eden Ventures, the VC arm of cross-chain NFT marketplace Magic Eden, has invested in 11 Web3 game studios. The latest announcement comes as blockchain games continue to attract investments despite the bear market.

According to Magic Eden, the latest move demonstrates the company's commitment to pushing the Web3 gaming industry forward. The NFT platform recently appointed Chris Akhavan as its Chief Gaming Officer, with expansion to the Polygon network.

Magic Eden has invested in 11 game studios, including Strider, Neowiz, Matchday, Bravo Ready, Epic League, Blockstars, Ring Games, Moonveil, Lucky Kat, Rooniverse, and Bunch. Some of them are the creators of highly popular Web3 games like BR1, Stella Fantasy, Panzerdogs, and more.

"We're still at the beginning of what blockchain gaming will become. Experienced game studios building web3-enabled games are pioneering something special – fun games with digital asset ownership and powerful economies that enable communities and creators to deepen their connection with the games they love," said Chris Akhavan, Chief Gaming Officer at Magic Eden. "It's a powerful combination. We look forward to continuing our support of emerging game studios and helping them achieve long-term success."

Through this partnership, Web3 game studios can take advantage of Magic Eden's capability to launch NFT projects and acquire users for their games. In-game marketplaces will be provided to support the gaming infrastructure, as well as a suite of creator tools and services for builders to monetize their games and engage with the community.

Magic Eden is no doubt one of the biggest players in blockchain gaming. Through its Launchpad product, the company has championed over 60 games' mint launches across Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon. With 1.5 million daily user sessions and average user sessions of 15 minutes, Magic Eden offers unparalleled exposure to gaming partners. With that, the platform has begun working with games post-mint to pilot rewards tokens on its Rewards Hub, allowing developers to engage with new and existing users.
