After a month of its seasonal play to airdrop campaign and following very positive community reaction to it, the developers of Animoca and OKX-backed strategy card game Legend of Arcadia have decided to extend Season 2: Grandia World Tour with new features and more rewards for an unspecified period of time.

What Does This Extension Bring?

This extended period introduces Dice-to-Sprint Missions and The Grandia Pack.

Dice-to-Sprint Missions are daily tasks that come with a base reward of Gacha Points (GP) but also with a bonus reward that you get by rolling the dice. Tasks range from claiming an idle reward and holding a Sword of Grandia NFT to saying GM in-game and doing 3 battles in Fervor Arena. Once you complete a certain task, you’ll be able to roll the dice for it on the season’s official page to earn bonus GP on top of the base reward. Rolling the dice involves making a transaction on the Base chain, but this comes at no cost to you, because the developers are actually covering all gas fees for these dice rolls. You can earn up to 400 extra GP from this mechanic, with a limit of one dice roll per mission that resets every day at 00:00 UTC.

The Grandia Pack represents codes that can be redeemed on the official website for in-game rewards. Such code can only be used once per account for this season. Codes are said to be distributed through “various channels” and if you’re lucky enough to get one, you’ll be able to redeem it to earn "EXP Box - 6 Hours x 10", "ASTRO Pack x 20", and "ASTRO EXP x 1000".

Alongside these new features, this extension of course gives players more time to collect more GP as well as participate in various events that may feature exclusive prizes. Holders of Sword of Grandia NFTs are also getting rewarded with a bonus dice roll and an extra mission to earn GP from as the team’s way of expressing gratitude for their support.

It’s unknown how long this extension will actually last. Season 2 was initially scheduled to end on July 29th after starting on June 28th, but with the servers now back online, players have another opportunity to accumulate more points from various gameplay activities to try and climb higher on the leaderboard and earn Obsidian, a resource needed alongside White Ore from the Mining mode to use the synthesizing process that allows you to generate the game’s upcoming $ARCA token.

About Legend of Arcadia

Legend of Arcadia is a free to play idle RPG in which players form a party of in-game toy heroes to play and earn rewards used to forge the $ARCA token. Toy heroes come in different factions, classes, and rarities while being divided into off-chain heroes and on-chain ERC-721 NFTs (not yet available). Off-chain heroes can only be used in one PvE mode, while NFTs can be used across all PvE and PvP game modes, meaning that you will need NFTs to have a chance of creating $ARCA tokens from earned resources. The mode available for everyone is the PvE Adventure mode, which you’ll need to progress through to unlock more modes. Each battle has you choose 5 heroes, after which you can watch the fight unfold and adjust its speed if you want it to end quicker. Along the way you get to earn Energy and EXP. Energy is used as fuel for collecting White Ore in the NFT-based Mining mode, while EXP lets you upgrade Stands, which are the 5 slots you place heroes in before starting a fight. Interestingly, heroes cannot be levelled up, but the level of Stands is what determines a hero’s level, ultimately allowing players to experiment with varied heroes instead of having to focus on leveling up specific characters.

The $ARCA token is set to be the game’s governance token earnable by combining resources earned from the casual 2D title: Obsidian, earned from leaderboard rankings, and White Ore, extracted from the Mining mode. Featuring a total supply of 1 billion tokens, holders will be able to use $ARCA to trade NFTs, stake into the DAO for voting rights, as well as stake to level up your VIP status and unlock in-game benefits such as better daily idle rewards, higher yield boosts of up to 2.5x, the option to skip battles, increased battle speed, and possibly more. Staking and locking tokens for liquidity is rewarded with veARCA, and by being a veARCA holder, you get to earn a share of the transaction fees generated from assets traded on the game’s marketplace.

According to the roadmap, the TGE for the $ARCA token is planned to take place in Q4 2024. As for the game, an early version of it can be download on Android and iOS through the official website, with a Play Store an App Store release planned for the future.
