After starting off regional testing in Canada last month, the developers of Guild of Guardians have now announced that they are officially migrating to Immutable zkEVM on March 4th.

Migration Details

This migration is important to NFT owners and $GOG token holders, as you will need to complete the migration process requirements before March 4th in order to be able to use your assets and enjoy the benefits of the Polygon-powered chain.

Migrating your GOG NFTs before the deadline will ensure a gas-free process, so if you don’t complete the process before the specified date, you will still be able to migrate afterwards, but will have to pay for gas fees. As for $GOG holders, it doesn’t seem to be specifically stated what happens if you don’t migrate before the cutoff date, but you will have to wait for the $GOG Migration Portal to go live before the end of this month anyways, with a detailed guide set to be published by the studio on how to use it.

GOG NFTs

The team will be migrating GOG NFTs (ERC-721) March 4th at 11 AM AEDT, but the deadline for holders to do their part of the process is an hour earlier. This also means that for some holders the deadline may actually be March 3rd depending on the timezone.

To successfully take part in the cost-free migration, you will need to connect your wallet holding the assets to the Immutable Passport through your Gamer Profile. This means that you should head on over to the Passport Dashboard and head to the External Wallets menu, where you can add your MetaMask wallet. That’s all you have to do; by connecting your wallet, you will be ready to have your assets migrated without paying any fees. On the day of migration, the team will cancel all GOG NFT trading on Immutable X and freeze the orderbook. The developers plan on completing migration by March 6th. Missing the deadline will still have your assets migrated to the same MetaMask wallet, but you will have to transfer them to Passport o zkEVM on your own and pay any fees that might occur.

Rewards Program

Users will be rewarded with 50 $GOG tokens per wallet by having more than 50 $GOG tokens on Immutable X as of February 9th, 10 AM AEDT while having the same or higher amount of tokens on Immutable zkEVM one month after the launch of the token migration portal.
