Blockchain farming sim Pixels is set to launch Guild Crop Wars, an exciting new event where guilds compete to grow the most cave mushrooms! This event marks their first guild vs. guild live event and includes an element of sabotage. Here's all you need to know:

Where and When
Guild Crop Wars will take place in the Caves under Pixels HQ. To join, enter the elevator on the first level of the building. The event kicks off on August 2nd at 4 PM UTC and runs until August 5th at 4 PM UTC.
What Is Guild Crop Wars?
Guild Crop Wars is Pixels' first attempt at a guild vs. guild Live Ops event. This is an experimental campaign aimed at exploring new gameplay possibilities. The insights gained from this event will help shape future live events, with the goal of running them on a regular basis. What's more, this is the first event in Pixels to include sabotage. Players can not only grow mushrooms but also hinder other guilds' progress.
Gameplay Objectives
The main goal here is to plant, water, and harvest as many mushrooms as possible. Players can use Guano to speed up their own mushroom growth or Goo to slow down others. Harvested mushrooms must be deposited in the Transmushtation Chute to earn Mushroom Points. The guild with the most points will win.
Rewards
The total prize pool for this event is 85,000 $PIXEL. It is split into two parts: 60,000 $PIXEL for guild bracket rewards and 25,000 $PIXEL for milestone rewards. Guilds are placed into brackets based on their size, each with its own prize pool.
How to Join Guild Crop Wars?
To join, you must be part of a guild. This means pledging a Shard and receiving a role within the guild. Simply supporting a guild is not enough. Next, head to the Caves beneath Pixels HQ and talk to NPCs for more details. Purchase spores, Guano, and Goo to start planting, growing, and sabotaging mushrooms.
Gameplay Tips
To plant spores, you need Coins (a new off-chain currency replacing $BERRY) or $PIXEL (the on-chain token for Pixels). The cost and energy required vary by spore type:
- T1 Spores: 200 Coins, 5 minutes to harvest, 1 energy to plant.
- T2 Spores: 500 Coins, 4 minutes to harvest, 2 energy to plant.
- T3 Spores: 2.5 $PIXEL, 3 minutes to harvest, 3 energy to plant.
Watering uses 0.5 energy. To speed up growth, use Voidbat Guano:
- T1 Guano: 200 Coins, small boost, 1 energy.
- T2 Guano: 300 Coins, average boost, 3 energy.
- T3 Guano: 1 $PIXEL, super boost, 5 energy.
Sabotage with Evil Goo:
- T1 Goo: Dries soil by 5 points, 100 coins, 5 energy.
- T2 Goo: Dries soil by 15 points, 350 coins, 7.5 energy.
- T3 Goo: Dries soil by 50 points, 2.5 $PIXEL, 10 energy.
Watered soil starts at 100 points. Once it reaches 0, the crop dies. (Credits to Venom Viper for sharing these amazing tips!)
Scoring System
Points are earned by depositing mushrooms in the Transmushtation Chute:
- Blue Mushrooms: +1 point
- Purple Mushrooms: +3 points
- Green Mushrooms: +5 points
Keep your harvested mushrooms safe until you can deposit them for points.
Extra Resources
Players will need Voidburst Energy Drink to manage their energy efficiently:
- Cost: 1 $PIXEL
- Energy given: 500 energy
Prize Distribution
The prize pool is split into guild bracket rewards and milestone rewards. Guild brackets are based on size:
- Bracket 1: 1-30 members, 20% of the pool.
- Bracket 2: 31-69 members, 35% of the pool.
- Bracket 3: 70+ members, 45% of the pool.
Milestone rewards include prizes for achievements such as the most Goo used, the most Guano points, and the most spores planted. Leaderboards will track these milestones.
