The developers of DeRace, the NFT horse racing metaverse, have released their Q1 2023 progress report, highlighting the various features that have been completed in the first quarter of the year. The report outlines the completion of several milestones from DeRace's roadmap, including ranked level races, horse renting, DeRace Jockeys, Jockey Silks, and the in-game marketplace.
To ensure that the community stays up-to-date on DeRace's development journey, the developers have decided to release quarterly reviews. According to the report, most of the planned features are already available in the test-net and are being thoroughly tested by the team.
Horse renting, another highly anticipated feature, is now fully completed and available for testing on the test-net. Players can rent out their NFT horses, set a rental fee and period, leave a personalized message for the renter, and easily schedule the return of their horse in time for upcoming events.
DeRace Jockeys are already in the test-net, bringing a whole new level of depth to the gameplay experience. The developers have put a lot of effort into building the in-game logic for Jockeys, incorporating various personality traits, experience levels, and racing styles that affect their overall mechanics.
The Jockey Silk generator feature for DeRace is also being developed, with the backend logic completed. The generator can currently create simplistic Silks that differ in colors and patterns, and additional features are being incorporated to include logos and other visual elements, making each Jockey's "uniform" unique.
The native DeRace marketplace has also been finalized and is currently in the testing phase on the test-net. This marketplace will allow players to seamlessly trade their in-game NFTs with others, enabling them to quickly jump back into the game without any delays. The marketplace includes various filters that make it easy for users to find exactly what they are looking for, and it displays detailed horse statistics, including their level, win rate, and achievements completed.
