Sphere Studios has officially announced the S0 Game Pass for ChronosWorlds, launching this Friday, October 24, at a discounted price to give players the opportunity to join in on the upcoming Early Access launch and play to airdrop rewards for a couple of weeks.

What Is ChronosWorlds?

ChronosWorlds is a 2.5D action platformer and RPG that is set in a colorful post-apocalyptic environment. Players explore story-driven dungeons across different worlds in Adventure Mode, featuring procedurally generated levels and several PvP game modes, including limited-time multiplayer events released in seasonal updates.

Before entering any gameplay modes, players gather in The Broken Temple, a lobby that supports more than 100 players. In this area, users can fish, craft, trade, and duel. It also serves as the main hub for teaming up before entering Adventure Mode or AI-generated dungeons, where players risk losing their collected items if they fail to survive or extract early.

Adventure Mode offers narrative-based PvE dungeons that can be completed solo or in a team of up to four players. While progressing through the dungeons, players collect resources, find hidden items, unlock crafting recipes, and create equipment to advance through increasingly difficult levels with stronger monsters and bosses. Death in a dungeon results in the loss of all carried items.

PvP combat in this web3 game is developed using a multiplayer engine that supports real-time, lag-compensated gameplay that is optimized for both PC and mobile. Combat draws on platform fighter mechanics and RPG-style customization, allowing players to equip weapons, armor, and gadgets for competitive matches. Available PvP modes include free for all, mini royale, and other arena-based events featuring ranking systems, tournaments, and leaderboards to climb. Some modes also include loot-stealing mechanics as well.

ChronosWorlds is planned as a live service game with continuous content updates, balance adjustments, and seasonal limited-time events. One of the early seasonal modes, Ambush, will focus on round-based survival challenges in which players aim to survive multiple waves of enemies and bosses to earn leaderboard rewards.

Player progression is structured through a leveling system that increases experience points and allows character stat upgrades. On launch, available character classes should include Warrior, Tank, Mage, and Assassin. Players can further enhance their builds through stat upgrades, weapon selection, item burning, and character fusion.

What Is ChronosWorlds’ S0 Game Pass?

The S0 Game Pass is your gateway ticket to the early access launch of ChronosWorlds, giving players a couple of weeks to play to earn a token airdrop before the game fully launches to the public as a free to play title.

Launching at an unspecified price, owning this seasonal pass thus lets you participate in the game’s Play 2 Airdrop Campaign, while also being one of the first to try out the game as well. This also gives you the chance to attain limited exclusive perks, such as having your name written in-game, with the name staying there forever. This naming perk is however limited to the first 1000 purchasers.

The pass unlocks access to a reward pool that seems to contain a variety of different currencies, most likely in-game to give you a headstart in upgrading your character. Among them though is also the upcoming $SPHR token, an ecosystem token that is likely launching some time after the game releases. The video embedded in the official X announcement regarding this season pass seems to suggest that players will be able to claim $SPHR airdrops every season by unlocking your holdings through gameplay or some way, which is very much the case for participants of the game's previous SocialFi campaigns, who will need to play fully unlock their stash. It looks like players will also be able to contribute to the prize pool in one way or another as well.

Purchasers also seem to unlock access to exclusive in-game tournaments, giving you more opportunities to earn rewards through skill-based gameplay. As a S0 Game Pass owner, you will be given special shop offers in-game, possibly allowing you to snag exclusive gear to help you in battle and stand out in style.

Following the initial announcement, newer X posts revealed that players who enter Season 0 using this upcoming Game Pass will be awarded an Energy Pack. Energy is one of the in-game resources you can earn from the seasonal reward pool, and it is needed to access various gameplay modes. It doesn’t seem to have exactly been revealed how Energy works and if it recharges similarly as in most free to play mobile games, but nonetheless, the Energy Pack will give you an advantage in being able to play Energy-gated game modes more so than others, in turn allowing you to potentially earn more rewards in the process.

How to Play to Airdrop in ChronosWorlds Season 0

Season 0 for ChronosWorlds is coming soon to the Epic Games Store, Elixir Games Launcher, Google Play Store, and Apple App Store, giving PC and mobile gamers who buy the S0 Game Pass the chance to play to airdrop the $SPHR token and gain a head start with earning various in-game rewards.

When this early access season does launch, it’s planned to last for a couple of weeks, during which you will be able to enjoy different game modes that include PvP fights, arena tournaments, social lobby, the PvE level-based Adventure Mode, and the limited-time wave-based survival mode called Ambush.

As you play these modes solo or with friends, you will get to collect resources, craft items, cook stat-boosting food, and complete various gameplay-focused quests while customizing your character with a variety of weapons and armor. Adding on to the RPG elements of this 2.5D title is of course the ability to level up your character to further increase a wide range of stats such as attack, dexterity, endurance, and so on. Various hidden areas and epic fight bosses await you during your play to earn journey as well.
