Web3 gaming ecosystem Arena-Z has announced the introduction of the Hunters Token ($HT) for the upcoming open beta test of League of Kingdoms: Hunters.

What Is the Hunters Token?

The Hunters Token is a seasonal, non-tradable token that is designed as the foundation of the unique reward system found in League of Kingdoms: Hunters.

This token is earned only through gameplay and as such is used only to measure your in-game effort and performance in order qualify for a share of the $A2Z prize pool. $A2Z is the ecosystem token that is replacing $LOKA following the rebrand, and you will be able to earn it by extracting Diamonds, which are earned by completing Kingdom Quests. $HT will not be tradable in order to keep it safe “from bots and speculation,” with the team set to reset earned tokens every season to give everyone a fair blockchain gaming experience.

This seasonal rewards system is referred in the official announcement as “Dynamic Play-to-Earn” (DP2E). By incorporating this cyclical model, players have to strike a balance between securing short-term gains and investing in long-term gameplay progression, as the Diamonds extracted for $HT are also needed to be used as a useful in-game resource. Each season is set to last around 4 weeks, and any unclaimed tokens will expire once a season is over in order to issue tokens for the next season. This also means that new reward pools and quests are set up for every new season. What doesn’t reset every season are your in-game assets and progress.

“Instead of simply mining value, players must decide how they allocate what they earn on a daily basis. Diamonds are vital for progressing deeper into the game, but also your only source for extracting $HT. This creates a living economy of trade-offs.”

By implementing seasonal resets and extraction mechanics through the DP2E system, the developers aim to reward strategy over just the usual grinding, so it’s up to you to figure out when is the best time to extract your earnings and when is it necessary to focus more on progressing further in the game itself.

What Is League of Kingdoms: Hunters?

League of Kingdoms: Hunters is a web3 idle RPG that is set in the League of Kingdoms universe and is planned to go live on August 11 in the form of an open beta test. Players will be able to summon over 50 unique anime-styled companions with distinct skills and abilities across 4 rarity tiers while engaging in 2D idle combat. Customize your own hunter using rune upgrades, 8 gear slots, and infinite promotion levels as you fight your way through dungeons and arenas and defeat tough bosses to earn various rare rewards that will help you create powerful builds.

If you’re a fan of casual and idle games and are looking for a new one to play and earn in, then you can look forward to the open beta test of this web3 game, which is set to start on August 11 and should allow anyone to jump in and play for free on web browsers and mobile devices, including Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store respectively. Here is how you will be able to play and earn $HT, and thus in turn $A2Z, during the upcoming test phase.

How to Play and Earn $HT in League of Kingdoms: Hunters

Anyone will be able to play and earn the non-tradable $HT in League of Kingdoms: Hunters by extracting Diamonds, an in-game currency earned from completing Kingdom Quests while also being used as a useful resource for in-game progression.

Kingdom Quests are part of a curated questline, and successfully beating those will give you an unspecified number of Diamonds. While we don’t know what kind of missions there will be, we do know the formula that will be used to extract Diamonds into $HT:

$HT Received = (Diamonds Extracted × Time Multiplier) × (1–5% Fee)

This means that the amount of $HT you receive from extracting Diamonds doesn’t only depend on the quantity of Diamonds collected, but also on how early you choose to extract your earnings in order to reward "early activity and balanced progression.” For example, if you extract 1000 Diamonds during the first week of open beta testing, you should end up receiving 1140 $HT due to there being a time-based 1.2x multiplier for extracting within the first 7 days. If you extract during Week 2, the multiplier is set to 1.1x. In Week 3 is the 1.0x base rate, but in the 4th and final week, you actually get penalized with 0.8x. This means that you will want to extract Diamonds as early as you can while ensuring you have enough to spend in-game to help you progress faster and possibly earn more Diamonds to increase your share of $HT.

 Diamond Extraction Multiplier
Week 1 (Days 1-7)1.2xHigher bonus for early movers
Week 2 (Days 8-14)1.1xStill advantageous
Week 3 (Days 15-21)1.0xBase rate
Week 4 (Days 22-28)0.8xLate penalty phase

On top of the time-based multipliers, there is also a 5% ecosystem fee applied during Diamond extraction. This fee is put in place to “keep the economy clean and forward-funded" and is set to be divided between future $A2Z reward pools and developer & platform incentives.

At the end of every 4-week season, you earn a share of the $A2Z prize pool depending on the amount of $HT you managed to accumulate. The formula used to determine reward distribution is this one:

Your $A2Z = (Your $HT) / (Total Circulating $HT) × Season Reward Pool

This means that if you managed to collect 5000 $HT during the season, and the total circulating supply is 100k and the seasonal reward pool is 1 million $A2Z tokens, you will be rewarded with 50k $A2Z.

If you want to be ready to participate and play to earn on August 11, set up an AA wallet by signing up at Arena-Z's official website. Soon, you can look forward unlocking exclusive platform quests on the same website, giving you a chance to earn bonus $HT and other rewards.
