Exciting news for Apeiron players! Season 3 (S3) introduces the much-anticipated return of Player vs. Environment (PvE) gameplay alongside the existing Player vs. Player (PvP) mode. This update includes new dungeon currencies, difficulty settings, and Apostle management options. Additionally, the new Doodaria Pass has just gone live, offering rewards for completing various missions and quests through the Discord server.

New Features in Apeiron S3

Apeiron's S3 update brings a host of new features designed to enhance the gaming experience for both new and returning players. This section dives into the details of these features and how they will impact gameplay.

The PvE dungeon mode is a major highlight of the S3 update. Now, players who enjoyed the roguelite dungeon experience in previous seasons will find the new version even more engaging. The dungeon has been restructured and now includes multiple new features and currencies.

The updated PvE Dungeon introduces four new currencies:

  • Unpurified Gold: This is the main currency used in the PvE dungeon, obtained by winning battles. Players use it to make purchases in dungeon shops, but it cannot be carried out of the dungeon.
  • Unpurified Souls: Obtained by selling Apostles in the dungeon, this currency is converted to Soul Gems when leaving the dungeon.
  • Soul Gems: These are converted from Unpurified Souls and are used to start new dungeon runs and level up Apostle skills.
  • Souls: Obtained by selling Apostles in the Cradle, Souls are used to reset an Apostle’s age.

The dungeon now offers three difficulty levels: easy, normal, and hard. Given this, players can customize their gameplay experience based on their skill level and desired challenge. Higher difficulty levels provide greater rewards, including Unpurified Gold, Soul Gems, and higher IV Apostles. New players begin with the easy dungeon and unlock harder modes by successfully completing the easier ones.

The Cradle is a new hub where players can interact with their Apostles. Essentially, Apostles age over time, living up to 31 days, and players aim to level up their skills and mint them into NFTs before they die of old age. If an Apostle dies, players can reset its age by spending Souls. The Cradle allows players to manage their Apostles more effectively and enjoy a more immersive experience.

Moreover, players can now bring up to four Apostles into the dungeon. Previously, players would pick up different Apostles as they progressed, but now, they can assemble a squad before entering the dungeon. Additional Apostles can be rescued and placed in reserve slots, encouraging players to upgrade their skills frequently. This change allows for more strategic gameplay and better squad management.

The dungeon shop has been revamped based on player feedback. A new item, the Sealed Apostle, has been added. By opening a Sealed Apostle box, players gain an Apostle with a random class and IV. Moving ahead, the new Portal Room replaces the Campfire Room and allows players to return to the Cradle temporarily for rest and healing. The pass includes three types of quests: Gameplay Quests, Social Media Quests, and Community Quests. These quests offer diverse ways to earn rewards and enhance the gaming experience.

How to Earn the Doodaria Pass

  1. Reach Chat Level 5: Players must engage in the Discord server and reach chat level 5 to qualify for the Doodaria Pass.
  2. Complete Quests: There are three types of quests:
    • Gameplay Quests: Complete specific in-game tasks such as winning matches or reaching certain ranks.
    • Social Media Quests: Engage with Apeiron content on social media platforms.
    • Community Quests: Participate in community events like PvP coaching or game nights.

Each Avatar begins with two skills and three skill slots, which can be enhanced with skill points earned through leveling up.
