Developer Dacoco is offering a new Galactic Hubs grant of up to $50k for game developers looking to bring their own game to the Alien Worlds ecosystem.

Grant Details

The team is looking for indie game developers willing to integrate Alien Worlds NFTs and the metaverse’s lore into their games. By having your game integrated into the sci-fi universe, you will have the opportunity of “leveraging the existing flows of Trilium (TLM)” to further engage players through competitive tournaments where the best players are rewarded with TLM tokens through a smart contract. The official announcement also states that developers can be given Trilium in order to take care of operational costs that can include content updates, community management and server maintenance, helping their game’s long-term sustainability.

Accepted applications are also listed in the Alien Worlds Arena, the official portal for games in the ecosystem, opening access to Trilium stipends from a reserved pool.

Application Criteria

The team is on the lookout for games that belong to the following genres listed in the official post:

  • Berzerk (score points as you navigate mazes and outsmart robots; Berzerk or Robot Labyrinth can be used for inspiration)
  • Endless Runner
  • Gallery Shooter (references: Alien 3, COPS, and Crime Patrol)
  • Never Ending Dungeon (fight past various different monsters as you explore dungeons in search of valuable loot; they’re looking for applications similar to games like Shiren the Wanderer 1 and 2, Ultimate Dungeon, and Endless Dungeon)
  • Fallout 3 Hacking (word puzzle games where you have a limited amount of time to figure out the code; examples: Mastermind, Hangman, and Scrabble)
  • Autochess
  • Tower Defense

Anyone interested in applying can fill out the application form linked at the end of the announcement.
