Aether Games is stepping up its efforts with a major rebranding of Aether TCG. Now titled "Cards of Eternity: The Wheel of Time," this move comes after the studio secured exclusive rights to Robert Jordan's epic fantasy series.

Enter "The Wheel of Time"

The rebranding will see Aether phasing out current in-game cards, adventurers, and pets, replacing them with characters and assets inspired by "The Wheel of Time" series. Mythical beasts, powerful magic, and iconic artifacts will enter the scene, with current stats and abilities remaining the same.

Only the art and names will change to reflect the series, ensuring that CoE becomes the digital homage to the beloved franchise. Players will soon see their decks infused with characters and artifacts from Jordan's world, creating an immersive narrative.

New Game Modes for Cards of Eternity (CoE)

Aether is not only changing the theme but also adding new features, such as:

  • Account Leveling & Quest System: An improved progression system that rewards dedication with valuable assets.
  • Cosmetic Customization: Players can customize their journey with companion skins, board skins, borders, and more.
  • Monthly Content Updates: New cards, adventurers, and companions will be unveiled on a monthly basis.

Competitive Tournaments

Competitive tournaments remain central in Aether Games, with new formats designed for diverse gameplay. Collaborative formats and exclusive rewards will offer new challenges. These events will also feature the "The Wheel of Time" theme to enrich the competitive scene.

What's Next for Aether

"Cards of Eternity: The Wheel of Time" will stay rooted in the intuitive mechanics that made Aether TCG a hit. This transition ensures balanced gameplay while adding new features. Players can expect the gradual addition of Rand al'Thor, Trollocs, and other characters to the world of CoE.

Securing Exclusive Rights

Earlier this year, Aether Games secured the rights to bring "The Wheel of Time" to their universe. Their official online TCG, "Cards of Eternity: The Wheel of Time," will soon immerse players in Jordan's magical world with co-op modes, a vast card library, and striking art. The game taps into the series' rich mythology, letting players align with heroes or darker factions like the Forsaken.

"Cards of Eternity: The Wheel of Time" will first launch on Windows PC, with console and mobile versions to follow. Players can sign up for the closed beta to get an early glimpse of this TCG.
