One of the developers of Wilder World, a “5D” metaverse with beautiful 3D graphics, has teased in a recent tweet how huge the open-world island will be once it officially launches for everyone to explore.
When the official release happens, players will be able to drive through a huge island which has been revealed by the developer to contain 10,369 buildings and “a lot of road.” The dev also pointed out that it is difficult for the time being for us from the outside to have “a sense of the scale of this project until you’re in there” and that they are looking forward to revealing more information in the first devlog.
A community member asked the developer sharing this exciting tease whether all those skyscrapers will be possible to enter, and whether players will be able to go to every single floor or just the lobby, to which the dev replied by saying that it “depends when we decide to release” but that for the first release, it is “unlikely.” However, the dev did point out that some point, it will actually be possible to completely explore all those buildings. In response to another tweet which asked for what the team’s roadmap and communication plans are, the developer revealed that the “next major public facing marketing push will be when racing is ready” and that they recently hired a “top person who was at Snap/Twitter/Coinbase” whose role is focused on the marketing aspect of this metaverse.
Earlier this year, the Wilder World team shared pre-alpha gameplay footage of Wiami, followed by a pre-alpha gameplay teaser made in Unreal Engine 5 with ray tracing enabled. At the end of March this year, the developers also shared some racing gameplay, which you can check out in the tweet down below.
