Move-to-earn Web3 title Walken has been updated to version 1.15 on Android and iOS devices, with the update putting a significant focus on the PvP side of the game through various changes.

What’s New in This Update?

This latest update is designed to “empower those who truly embrace the competitive spirit of Walken,” and as such is focused on rewarding active PvP players. According to the announcement, this comes as a result of in-depth data gained from more than a hundred CAThletic Games since the summer of 2023. That said, the official post states that the primary goal is to make it so that “rewards remain attractive and accessible to all players” while keeping the game balanced but putting much more emphasis on “engagement and PvP performance.”

In order to reward PvP players more, it looks like the developers are doing away with the PvE prize pool and are instead using that pool to increase rewards in updated PvP Tournaments, PvP Milestones and CAThletic Games 2.0.

Updated PvP Tournaments & Isle Clash Tournaments

With the updated PvP tournaments, players can now enjoy x10 bigger prize pools for the top 200 players, with distribution now more even than before, meaning you will now see a smaller gap between the top 3 and the remaining eligible places.

This update also marks the introduction of 3 Isle Tournament leaderboards focused on the following: Win Rate, Clashes Won, and $WLKN Gained. With these new competitions, there are now a total of 6 PvP-related leaderboards and 1200 winning spots. A tournament week starts at 00:00 UTC on Mondays as usual, with rewards for a tournament that recently ended to be distributed on Mondays.

CAThletic Games 2.0

The CAThletic Games have entered the Rainbow-eyed era, putting focus on CAThlete captains with rainbow eyes, with regular CAThletes able to join only as team members. This also means that rewards from chests are affected by the number of Rainbow CAThletes participating – the less there are, the more rewards are included per chest.
