Rage on Wheels, a play-to-earn vehicular combat game by Playonplay Gaming Ltd. is now officially live on the BNB Chain and is playable on web browsers, with an Android and iOS version planned for release at some point in the future.
The blockchain title takes on inspiration from Mad Max by taking on a barren wasteland setting in which players assemble their army of battle cars to use in PvP and PvE gameplay, as well as in tournaments, earning the game’s core capped token, $ROW, in the process. In PvP, players can create and join each other’s battles, where the player’s only required action participate is to simply choose which one of their vehicles they’d like to participate, after which they can watch the battle unfold and see who will probabilistically be determined as the winner. The top 3 players in a PvP battle get to earn $ROW tokens, and the same applies for PvE, though in that case you’re up against AI and do not have to pay any entry fee to play, as long as your car is completely repaired, you can jump into a PvE match straight away. Damaged cars can be repaired using a Repair Kit or by simply letting time pass to allow them to recover.
There’s a total of 200 unique vehicle designs present in the game spread across 5 different levels, and if you have 3 cars that look identical, then you can combine them into one that is of higher level. Each car comes with their own ‘hashrate’ that determines how fast you can mine new cars, thus the higher the total hashrate, the more new cars you can get quicker. The mining feature doesn’t require you to do anything, as it’s designed constantly be in effect every day.
While the game launched on March 31st, the BEP-20 token was listed on PancakeSwap today, April 4th. According to the roadmap, it seems the game will go multichain over time, as a “token/NFT gate” for Ethereum is planned to come out in Q3 this year, followed by a Solana one in Q4 2023 and a Polygon one in the first quarter of next year.
