The Solana Foundation has officially announced a pitching competition called the NFT Showdown.
This is the first time the non-profit organization is hosting a “one-of-a-kind” NFT pitching contest, for which submissions will open on June 5th and will close on June 9th at 12 AM PST, as stated in the FAQ on the contest’s official website. In the meantime, aside from working on your project pitch, you can sign up there with your e-mail in order to be notified of anything important ahead of the submission window.
When submitting your NFT idea, the guidelines state that it’s important for your pitch to include your target audience, the problems your project’s utility and/or product(s) can solve, your business model and go-to-market strategy that includes details on the project’s launch and the real-world application of it; community engagement and retention plans, as well as a high-level mock-up of the art concept of the NFT collection. It’s also listed in the guidelines that your pitch can also explain how you’ll use various Solana technologies such as xNFTs and state compression “to supercharge your project” as an added bonus. Judges will decide what projects to move with forward based on real-world application, user-focused product thinking, creative direction and more. Winners will receive support from the Solana team in the form of mentorship as well as workshops with industry experts and eligibility for Creator tickets to this year’s Solana Breakpoint, scheduled to take place between October 30th and November 3rd.
