In an effort to bring engaging education to the metaverse, The Sandbox has partnered with Open Campus, a community-led protocol focused on decentralized learning.
With this collaboration, an education-focused region will be built by acquiring LAND in this voxel-based metaverse, allowing to “find out more about decentralized learning in a fun and engaging setting” in an area specifically geared towards educating through gamification, which means that there will be various fun missions to complete as you go through various courses provided by the launch partner of Open Campus, TinyTap. Other partnership-based activities will also appear over time as Open Campus manages to form more partnerships, meaning this dedicated part of this metaverse is set to continuously grow with new educational content in order to try and “[push] the boundaries to make decentralized learning accessible — including in the metaverse.”
The COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, Sébastien Borget, said the following in the announcement:
“The Sandbox was created to bring communities together in one virtual world where anyone can create engaging experiences. Open Campus takes this further by introducing learning opportunities that are fun and hugely beneficial to our communities. We look forward to seeing people from all over the world gathering in The Sandbox to take part in Open Campus’ activities.”
To celebrate this partnership and show gratitude towards The Sandbox’s community, Open Campus is hosting a giveaway that includes 500 Silver Notebooks for owners of LAND. By owning a Silver Notebook NFT, you’ll have a chance to be one of the users who will get to use Open Campus earlier, while potentially enjoying various other benefits for which the protocol will share more information in the future, including details on Gold Backpacks.
In order for a LAND holder to be properly qualified for this giveaway, it’s necessary to complete a couple of simple steps that you can find in the official announcement here.
There’s no shortage of partnerships when it comes to this decentralized platform. Quite recently, The Sandbox also partnered with Fist of the North Star, a Japanese manga and anime series that now has its own voxel-based NFT collection.
