In collaboration with EPIK Prime, The Sandbox has announced a new VoxEdit contest in which the goal is to create a poster of the Original Stormtrooper.
Contest Details
The community has until March 11th, 5 PM UTC to submit a creative poster containing a voxel-based rendition of the Original Stormtrooper. When working on your submission, it’s important to remember that only the main creation should be made in VoxEdit, not the entire poster. You can use other software for creating your poster design in which you will place your creation, as can be seen in the below examples.

It’s also very important to keep in mind your submission should be focused on the Original Stormtrooper, meaning that you must leave out “any elements, iconography, narratives, and features associated with Star Wars.” The official announcement encourages artists to take note of the Original Stormtrooper’s helmet shape, chest plate design, shoulder pauldron layout, belt details, and leg armor pieces, as this will help make sure that “your poster features the Original Stormtrooper, distinct from other troopers.” It’s also mentioned that your poster should include a call out that says ‘coming to Sandbox soon’.

Prizes
A total prize pool of 8000 $SAND is reserved for the top 10 entries, with the winning entry receiving 3000 $SAND, while 2nd place gets 2000 $SAND, 3rd place 1250 $SAND, and the rest get 500 $SAND tokens each.
Prizes will be sent on the Polygon network, with the top 3 entries requiring KYC or the status of a verified creator, while the remaining spots do not ask for participants to be KYC’d. To be a verified creator, you need to have either taken part in 5 contests and finished in the top 10 in one of them, or have a studio linked with a GMF (Game Maker Fund) account.
Entries will be judged on a scale of 1 to 5 across 3 categories: creativity, aesthetics, and composition quality.
