The Readyverse is now live in Public Early Access, introducing a number of new features in their flagship third-person web3 metaverse to start off a phased rollout while giving the blockchain gaming community the opportunity to help shape the development of this Ready Player One-inspired ecosystem further.

What Is The Readyverse?

The Readyverse is a social gaming platform and metaverse in development by Futureverse, who are aiming to create a universe of connected gameplay experiences. Dive in by creating your own custom avatar using generative AI tool Altered State or activate an existing on-chain asset that belongs to one of the ecosystem’s growing partner NFT collections. Customize your character with a variety of virtual assets while creating your own Surreal Estate, your personalized home base in this 3D world. Explore metaverse experiences and hang out with the community while enjoying various in-game features.

What’s New in The Readyverse Public Early Access?

The start of this phased public rollout introduces Promptopia, Surreal Estate spaces, Showrooms, friend invites, the ability to customize your own world, and the option to launch a variety of game worlds, including RCADIA, Zerpmon, The Third Kingdom, Gods n’ Goblins, Visit OPEN, and more.

Promptopia is a live arena in which you can transform your ideas into playable 3D assets. This is an AI-generated mode in which you essentially fill in the blank space of a missing sentence with any word that you want. Basically, in every round you’re giving the game your prompt, and then the AI generates a 3D model out of your prompt. Once everyone has submitted their prompts, the Game Master unveils the AI-made creations one by one. You then transform into this creation in order to battle it out against other players in PvP mini-games ranging from racing to dueling while attempting to get the highest score on the global leaderboard. Yes, even if you put the word of an object such as a shoe, you can play as a shoe. The creation you choose to battle with “shapes how you play,” according to a dedicated X thread.

Next to the AI-based mini-game mode, you can spend time leisurely exploring the new Surreal Estate spaces and Showrooms, and invite your friends to accompany you in your stroll. When you’re done exploring, it’s time to head back to your very own personal space, which you can choose to customize in various ways to create a personalized world for you and your friends to hang out in.

Last but not least, you now have the option to launch into the varied game worlds from web3 projects part of this growing platform, which for now include RCADIA, Zerpmon, The Third Kingdom, Gods n’ Goblins, and Visit OPEN. More worlds are planned to be added soon, including one based on action RPG ChronoForge.

If you want to get in early and help the developers create an immersive gaming metaverse, then you can jump in now as the team continues to roll out new features and content in this public phase of Early Access. You might be able to win some rewards along the way while doing so.

How to Win Rewards in The Readyverse

The Readyverse is planning to run weekly competitions on X through which you will have a chance to win unspecified “sweet” rewards by sharing your in-game progress. There is no ongoing event at the time of writing, but given that this new phase kicked off on August 13, you can probably expect a weekly event to begin at the start of next week, if not sooner.

That being said, you will probably want to get into the game as soon as possible in order to be ready to participate. To get started, download the game’s launcher from the official website. It’s available for Windows PCs only, at least for now. While there is an Epic Games Store page, this early version is not available through there, so you can only wishlist there for the time being.

With the launcher set up, you can then create your ReadyPass account and enter the game by equipping an eligible playable NFT. These include FLUFs, Party Bears, and The Next Legends Boxers, but since this is a public phase, you now actually have the option to create your own avatar instead. All of the NFT collections can be found on the Ethereum network via OpenSea, but you can also search for them at the Tradeverse, an NFT marketplace for trading collectibles that are a part of Futureverse and The Root Network, both of which The Readyverse belongs to as well.

If you’d like to create your own custom character to play with in this growing metaverse, then you can do so by using Altered State, an AI generative tool made by Futureverse. Sign up to the alpha version of the dApp to begin the Avatar Creation process by giving the AI words or images. Once your avatar is generated, you can then use the Texture tab to further alter the appearance of your character by using your existing prompt or by uploading an image.

With the 3D model of your custom avatar ready, it then needs to be brought to life with animations. Simply head to the Animate section to begin the rigging process. Once that’s done, you can officially publish your character to become an actual playable asset that you can use to play in The Readyverse Public Early Access, and possibly other compatible games in the future.
