GRIPNR has officially announced that the play platform for The Glimmering, the first 5E TTRPG on the Polygon network, is now live, allowing players who own an NFT Hero to look for tables to play on while earning treasure and leveling up their character, with all progress saved on the blockchain.

While anyone can head on over to the website and create an account they can connect their crypto wallet to, in order to actually play adventures which are, according to the platform’s FAQ, hosted by “certified” GMs, you’ll need to own a Glimmering NFT Hero, which interested tabletop players had the opportunity of minting for the price of 250 MATIC per NFT during the recent Phase 2 launch of the Genesis collection, with the platform going live together with the start of the second phase. If you missed the mint but would still like to get one in order to play, then you can do so by buying it from others on OpenSea.

The Phase 2 of The Glimmering’s Genesis collection began on March 30th for eligible players on an allowlist. Afterwards, the sale was opened up to everyone who joined the game’s official Discord server, giving more players the opportunity of getting their hands on one at mint price while supplies remained. With the NFT, players can pay to join tables suitable to the level of their NFT by reserving a seat which can cost between $5 and $25 depending on the price set by the GM of the table, with the seat price paid via credit card, according to the official FAQ.
