Developer Thought Farm has officially announced the start of Season 6: Clash of Factions for their blockchain farming game, Sunflower Land.

What Is Season 6 About?

In the 6th season, which began on May 1st, players can pledge allegiance to one of 4 different factions in order to help them become the most influential group in the pixelated world by contributing resources and $SFL tokens to earn faction points and climb the leaderboard. The type of resource and the quantity requested changes every day. Throughout the season you can also earn Scrolls for doing various activities, such as harvesting crops, trading at the Flower Shop, completing delivery orders and more. Scrolls can be used to bid on new rare items in Hammerin’ Harry’s Auctions, but you can also use them to buy new wearables and collectibles at Stella’s Mega Store.

While it’s not a requirement, players are encouraged to freely side with one of the 4 factions that include Bumpkins, Goblins, Sunflorians and Nightshades. By doing so, you earn factions points for donating resources to them, with more bonus faction points included for doing Scroll-based deliveries. More features for pledging allegiance are on the way in the future, including access to a faction pet XP boost, access to a new Kingdom area on the map, the opportunity to gain exclusive items from the faction marks shop, and more.

Two new Season Banners have been introduced, with details on the exclusive benefits they provide available in the official announcement.

Emblems

Players will stick to the faction they pledged to throughout an 8-week period that started on May 1st. After this period is over, the Emblem Shop and Emblem Peer to Peer Trading will go live, allowing players to gain a piece of ownership of factions through Emblems. On June 14th, players will be airdropped Emblems based on the amount of faction points they have, with each point said to be equal to one Emblem. This will allow players to have their stake in factions based on the number of Emblems they have, potentially gaining useful faction bonuses that represent multipliers affecting the XP boost provided by the Faction Pet and more. Factions are set to be officially established on July 1st.
