Gaming studio Janus Interactive is opening ticket sales on June 24th for the Launch Tournament of its WW2-themed NFT card game, Storm Warfare.
How Does the Ticket Sale and Airdrop Work?
On June 24th, 1 PM UTC, the sale of 3 tiers of Ticket Bundles, and if you end up being one of the first 10,000 buyers of any tier, you will get share of the 50,000 $IMX token airdrop, which is a total value of around $76k at the time of writing. Aside from being distributed on a first come, first serve basis, it isn’t clearly stated as to how much of the airdrop you will actually get. One $IMX token is currently worth around $1.53, while the cheapest Ticket Bundle is $19.99. If we assume that everyone will be equally distributed, then that would mean 5 $IMX tokens per buyer, or 5 $IMX per ticket, as one other section of the official page says that the airdrop “is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to 10,000 tickets.”
Buying a ticket is also rewarded with a free lottery entry, where 1000 participants stand a chance of earning at least $20, likely in $JAN tokens. Getting multiple tickets could mean multiple entries, though if you finish the tournament in the top 10, you won’t be able to take part in the lottery. Players can also get lottery entries by playing enough matches, according to the following table:
| Matches Played | Entry Rights |
|---|---|
| 0-100 | 5 Lottery Entries |
| 101-200 | 10 Lottery Entries |
| 201-300 | 20 Lottery Entries |
| 301-400 | 40 Lottery Entries |
| 401-500 | 60 Lottery Entries |
| 501+ | 80 Lottery Entries |
There will be 3 types of Ticket Bundles: Contender Ticket Bundle ($19.99), Fighter Ticket Bundle ($29.99) and Champion Ticket Bundle ($49.99).
The Contender Ticket Bundle will be available in unlimited quantity and consist of a Contender Ticket plus two types of card packs: 15 Basic Packs and 2 Tactical Packs. These contents are so bring the bundle to a total value of $76.
With the Fighter Ticket Bundle you get a Fighter Ticket, 20 Basic Packs, 5 Tactical Packs and a Midway Battleboard (the battlefield on which you place cards). The total bundle of this value is $135 according to the official website, and there are only 10,000 available for purchase.
Champion Ticket Bundles are even more limited. With a supply of 5000 and a total value of $259, each Champion Ticket Bundle includes a Champion Ticket, 30 Basic Packs, 10 Tactical Packs, Midway Battleboard, Kursk Battleboard and the Rising Sun Cardback. The cardback is said to be exclusive to this bundle, so the developers will not put it up for sale ever again.

The guaranteed ranking reward pool goes to the top 500 players, with players ranked form 501 – 1000 getting 3 Operation Overlord Basic Packs each. The prize pool increases depending on the amount of Ticket Bundles purchased, as 48% of all Ticket Bundle sales will be added onto it, meaning both the lottery pool and the ranking pool could get a bonus increase.

What Is Storm Warfare?

Storm Warfare is a free-to-play collectible card game incubated by Seedify and available for download on the Epic Games Store. Set in WW2, players take on 1v1 tactical matches set on battleboards depicting historical battlefields while playing as one of 5 factions: the United States, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, Japan and Germany.
Everyone starts off with 150 free cards and pre-built starter decks that can be used to begin progressing through the game, completing missions to earn tradable cards and $SWAR that can be spent on the game’s official store and marketplace. $SWAR can also be earned in monthly ranked seasons alongside tradable assets such as packs, cards and cardbacks.
Each faction has its own unique cards and tactics affecting playstyle, with players setting up their decks out of 4 types of cards: Units, Events, Weapons and Hero Cards. Event Cards are like spells that bring a certain one-time effect when activated, while Hero Cards consist of multiple abilities that can activate depending on the amount of Command Points (points for playing cards) you have left when ending your turn. Weapon Cards are used exclusively by the Commander, the character representing you on the board, to surprise your opponent.
Commanders come in 5 different classes, with each class having its own unique ability to use to your advantage. These characters act as dynamic upgradable NFTs that age over time and can be rented as well as permanently bought. The more matches you play with a certain Commander, the more that asset will visually change, earning new ranks getting awarded various medals depending on your achievements.
