The public version of Web3 space shooter StarHeroes officially went live on May 21st, marking the launch of the Season 1 Play-to-Airdrop campaign which comes with a massive prize pool of $STAR tokens to compete for until July 16th.
Campaign Info
From May 21st to July 16th, players can earn points called StarScore in 3 different ways for a chance at ranking in the top 2000 on the leaderboard who will be eligible to receive a share of the huge prize pool containing 12,437,500 $STAR tokens, which was said to be worth around $5 million when the official campaign guide was published. As of writing, this reward pool is valued around $4.1 million. The winner of this campaign is set to earn up to $200k worth of $STAR tokens.

Points are collected through 3 main activities: using the Hero Duty Web App, inviting friends and playing the Web3 title. It's encouraged to do all 3 activities during these 8 weeks, as each has a balanced influence on your leaderboard score, with every activity shaping 1/3 of your total score.
Hero Duty Web App & Inviting Friends
In this dApp, owners of Hero NFTs from the game’s main genesis NFT collection can send their assets on missions to level them up. Leveling up your NFTs is important, as their level impacts the amount of StarScore that you get.

Next to Hero NFTs, players are also encouraged to stake $STAR tokens in the same web app in order to gain bonus StarScore but also XP that the NFTs need to level up.
Inviting friends is done using your referral link. If they onboard into the game using your link, you will be able to earn a percentage of the StarScore that they earn in the game.
Gameplay Rewards
By simply playing the esports-focused title, players earn StarScore, with the amount earned based on in-game performance, investment and time spent in the StarPush Ranked Mode, the only game mode eligible for these points. Anyone interested in playing can download the game through the GameSwift Launcher.

A total of 21 spaceships are available in-game, each of which can be upgraded to look better visually but also to have better combat performance. They’re split into 5 classes: shooter, tank, support, engineer and hitman. Ships are also divided into 5 tiers, with higher-tier ships giving you more StarScore while being better to use in combat. To get as many in-game StarScore points that you can, the developers suggest upgrading spaceships to higher tiers while using premium in-game currency called G-Bucks to buy fuel and boosts. Having more fuel increases the daily number of games that actually count towards the leaderboard, while boosts act as multipliers that help you gain more StarScore than you normally would.
