The developers of Souls of Meta, an action RPG fantasy metaverse, have released a new game update titled “Fun-2-Earn”.

With this new update, players are now able to earn SMP tokens by unlocking treasure chests, fighting various monsters and taking down Horde Overlords. As the game uses a dual-token economy, these earnable governance tokens used for voting will be swappable to the native utility token SOM, making it possible for all NFT holders to earn in the third-person action RPG. SOM is used for activities such as staking and marketplace transactions. In order to start earning SMP, players need to have at least 1 character and 1 weapon NFT. Since the game runs on the BNB Chain, these NFTs require having enough BUSD as well as BNB for transactions fees, with the NFTs available for purchase on the SoulPad Marketplace. Earlier this month, the team introduced Guild NFTs, which will allow scholars to rent characters and weapons for free while paying the amount that they’re worth from earnings made in the game.

As of writing, the Fun-2-Earn version is currently available for download from the official website only for Windows. The Free-2-Play edition is still available as a separate title that is playable from web browsers, Windows and Android devices.
