SolChicks, a play-to-earn fantasy gaming ecosystem on the Solana network, has recently tweeted that a scholarship system is in the works, and will soon launch it on the SolChicks NFT dashboard, together with a detailed guide on how this system works.

Backed by numerous investors such as Gate.io Labs, Blocore and Master Ventures, and partnered with a wide range of different guilds, including YGG SEA and Good Games Guild, the Solana-based platform revolves around the cute SolChicks NFT collectibles, with the core game being SolChicks Saga, a play-to-earn online RPG where players take control of the aforementioned chicken-like NFTs and enjoy PvP and PvE gameplay. PvE features two game modes: Adventure Mode and Raid Mode. 

The first mode is essentially a story-focused campaign, where players progress through various chapters across a wide variety of locations throughout the planet called Mellow, fighting enemies and earning rewards such as NFTs and $SHARDS, a token used for breeding SolChicks NFTs. Battles in Adventure Mode require having a team of 5 NFTs, with each SolChick having passive skills but also an active one that can be activated during a fight. At the end of each chapter, the Raid Mode kicks in, requiring players to team up to take down tough raid bosses together.

SolChicks Saga is slated for a closed beta release in Q3 2022, followed by a full launch in Q4 this year. In the meantime, players can play the Dungeon Escape mini-game, where those who own a SolChicks NFT can earn $SHARDS by converting the coins they collected throughout the dangerous dungeon. Each NFT has 5 energies that reset back to 5 every day, with every run consuming one. Playing with rarer NFTs not only entails reward bonuses, but also better stats that can prove beneficial to making it farther in the dungeon.
