The Snook team has recently given more info on the upcoming Season 1 of Ladder Mode for the multiplayer skill-based title.
This game mode puts between 5-15 players in a shrinking competitive arena that is only open during the weekends, with every match featuring “5 Rounds of Mayhem,” encouraging players to have 5-life specials with them in order to have a better chance at having the highest number of points and making it to the final round. Aside from simply playing, points can also be earned in 3 other ways, which include taking out other players, finishing in the top 3 places and from the “number of stars your special has.” Points earned from killing players can be multiplied depending on the rarity of the special.
The first season includes a prize pool of more than 100k $SNK and will last for 4 weeks on weekends, with the first week of the season set to open on Saturday, October 1st, at 00:00 UTC and close on Sunday, October 2nd, at 24:00 UTC.
For more details, check out the official Medium post here.
The developers will host a “Happy Hour on Discord” where they’ll talk more about the game mode and future plans on September 28 at 3 PM UTC.
Similar to slither.io, Snook is available on PC as a browser title via the Polygon network, with a mobile version planned to come out later.
