The developers of Snake City, a play-and-earn title inspired by slither.io, have revealed that the Tournament mode, the first PvP game mode on the mobile app, is planned to come out soon.
The team has so far stated that this upcoming mode will feature a variety of different types of tournaments “with various designs.” In another tweet, the developers gave info on how players will be able to join a tournament. Participating in a tournament will require purchasing a ticket in order to reserve a slot in the competition. Players will have 15 minutes to buy a ticket, and there is no maximum limit to the amount of tickets that a player is allowed to purchase. More info will be given as the release of this game mode draws nearer.
Aside from this, the team behind the Avalanche-based title is also preparing a “super big event” that is based on this year’s FIFA World Cup.
Backed by the likes of Avalabs (Blizzard Fund), Avalaunch, Lua Ventures and more, the free-to-play title is currently playable on PC via the Free Zone game mode, which only works when a certain event is being held coupled with a reward pool. On September 27, the developers successfully migrated the NFT title to the Swimmer Network, a blockchain that is built on top of the Avalanche network and is designed specifically for gaming, with $TUS used as the gas token, the same token that is earned by playing Crabada, a play-and-earn idle game.
