The Snake City team has recently announced their World Cup-themed event, Road to Qatar 2022, for their slither.io-like blockchain title.

Scheduled to kick off tomorrow on November 17, the competition comes with a $10k prize pool and tasks players with collecting national flags of countries taking part in this year’s World Cup in order to claim rewards. Everyone can participate in this tournament for free without needing to connect a cryptocurrency wallet, though you should if you’d like to save your game progress. Players will fight for flags on a Soccer Map while donning a Soccer Snake skin. The free event will end on December 18, the day when the final match in the World Cup is planned to take place.

Aside from snatching flags from others in the map, there’s also a daily leaderboard in which the top 5 players also earn national flags by getting a flag box the next day. Another way to get your hands on a flag box is to try your luck at the lucky wheel.  A free spin can be awarded by connecting your wallet every day, but another spin can also be gained by playing 20 turns each day, with 50 turns giving 2 spins and 100 turns 3 spins. It’s also possible to swap your flag with someone else’s.
